Outlander Materials is a biotech company tackling waste by making revolutionary new materials.
We explore the uses of beer waste to create novel materials, combined with other food industry streams and by-products. Waste as input, but not as output. Compostable and non-plastic, our materials simply become part of the circle of life.
Discover UnPlastic
The Non-Plastic Alternative to Single-Use Plastics
If the contents last only a few moments, why should the wrappers last an eternity?
UnPlastic is our answer to single-use plastics: a functional, compostable and non-plastic alternative that releases no toxins into the environment. It is circular, made from food industry sources, by-products, and waste, and it will never break down into micro- or nanoplastics.
And the best thing: We can use beer brewery waste to make it! Who knew beer could save the planet?
Beer will change the world!
I don't know how, but it will!

Towards a Circular Economy
We are a biotech company striving to eradicate waste and contribute to a circular economy. In it, all products are used and reused optimally, with waste and by-products forming the building blocks for new materials. Everything becomes part of the circle of life, with no waste at any stage of the product life cycle. To make a circular economy happen, materials have to be intentionally designed to be circular. This is what we are doing with UnPlastic.
Want to Make an Impact?
We have the power to choose our future. Together we can create a world where waste does not exist. By partnering up or backing us, we can make sustainable and circular materials have impact at scale, and create true and lasting change.
The power is yours!
